I am sure this has been posted somewhere in this section, but I cannot find it. Does anyone know if If a first Gen Firebird 350 HO exhaust manifold(long branch) will fit a second gen Firebird(also 350)? Thanks again and if anyone can direct me to a topic where this is covered that would be just as well.

It should fit the block. I'm not sure if it will clear everything else though.

The long-branch will not fit the 70-81 chassis. You'll have to use the Ram Air style, which is 67-72 A-body but the same as the 70 RA III d-port or 70-74 round port.

All I know is these are coming off a first gen 350 bird. Is it possble that these are Ram Air manifolds? Did they make any 350's with Ram Air even? I'm gonna have my friend pick em up anyway. If they don't fit I'll just sell em. They are only $30.

Unless it's a 350 HO, it's highly unlikely that these are the long branch design. They are probably the standard log style. $30 isn't bad for a pair, but if you sell them, you might not get much more out of them.

My friend originally told me he had found a 68 or 69 bird with shorty headers. I asked him to get numbers off them to decode what they were and he found out they were numbers matching. I don't think they are the log style because I highly doubt he couldnt recognize the difference between log manifolds and as he put it "shorty style" headers. I already told him to pick them up so, since they won't fit my car, do you think it would be hard to find somebody to swap them with for the later style(70-81) or GTO/Ram Air III type?

His "shorty header" comment is a good sign. Seeing as how the long branch and the RA style are being reproduced, you shouldn't have a problem getting either. I know there are plenty of guys who want the originals and as long as these are crack free, you should get a good price out of them. If they are indeed long branch style, the car they are coming from will have the oil filter adapter specific to these manifolds. The housing is angled so the filter will be set back on about a 45 degree angle to clear the manifold.
