I have a stock 62 bonneville convertible. It originally had single exhaust. I want to install duals. Any one know if I can use original manifolds or do I need different manifold for left side or?? The Photos in the shop manual look as though the duals bolt up the same place. I asked 2 of the Exhaust Manufacturers that advertise in the mags. One says it will work with the originals, one says no , you need a special dual exhaust manifold. Any body know for sure? I appreciate any responses. dikto

The manifold configuration is irrelevant. Any good exhaust bender can connect any size pipe to any size manifold.

The difference between the dual exaust manifolds and the single is ZERO. Just go to a good exhaust shop and you will have no problem. The Y pipe was just for a single exhaust. Duals come off the manifolds.
