The Hedman catalog says their race headers don't fit with power steering or A/C. What's up with that? The power steering pump wouldn't be in the way, and the intermediate shaft is in the same location regardless, so what's power steering got to do with anything?

What's the problem with A/C - is it the brackets that support the compressor, the compressor itself, or the plenum on the firewall.

Thanks for any info or experiences wih these headers.

I never could figure out that P/S thing either, unless the #1 cylinder tube runs in front of the frame crossmember before exiting toward the rear of the car. As for the A/C, the evaporator box on the firewall will be in the way.

Use Hooker Headers and you won't have any problems.

The HEdman 1 3/4 and 1 7/8 round port sytems both fit fine with power steering.
