Default '65 GTO w/'68 YS 400/th400

This car is very rusty. Don't let pics fool you, but it does have a nice patina and the paint is original. Fenders, hood, quarters, dash, cowl, all pans, window channels, etc--all rusty. Seats are toast (tracks rusted off). Frame appears okay though. Not restorable in my opinion, but a good parts car. Don't have PHS, but definitely a real GTO. Automatic car, probably was a 4bbl. Wood wheel, backup lights, not much else. Wood wheel is rough. It appears that the car was last driven in '69 or '70. The story that I have pieced together is that the car was driven to its current mileage (125k +/-) with the original drivetrain. Motor was tired and the '68 drivetrain was installed, but the installation was never completed and the car sat outside. All windows are broken out and it looks like they've been out for a long time. The '68 motor is very complete. Has correct q-jet carb, all date codes line up--and believe it or not it still has the original date-coded '68 plug wires on it. I don't know anything about the condition of the engine, but I'd bet it is fairly low mileage. No title. $2800 Call Andy for honest description 864-828-0473.

Default Update

I sprayed a little WD40 in the plug holes and let it sit over night. Now the motor will move with a socket on the crank pulley bolt. I'm sure it still needs a rebuild, but definitely a positive sign. Also, I realized that the plugs are probably the original ones--AC 45S!
