The thermac is broken on my housing. Are there any other years that are the same as the 76, or is it a one year only design?
Stock 455, shaker, carb and intake.

Most GM of the era used the same 2-3 setups for the hot air pre-heat. I'd have to check 1976 version of that aircleaner but likely same spotwelded flange that went around that hole that most had, coould take the foil flex pipe directly or use the plastic elbow. Some, like Corvette, used a steel elbow with dimples that pushed snug into a deeper section of pipe with two holes in it, same result.
Corvette type, would still work if diameter of pipe matches elbow adaptor or foil tubing. ![]() Last edited by Trevor78; 09-04-2023 at 02:20 AM. |

Thanks for the replies. When I hit the swaps, what other years are direct replacements? May not find one from a '76.

As per pics, pretty much eeeeeevery year that uses these types with carb.
