Geez this is a pain..
Anyone have any tips for installing the tranny dipstick on a 350. I had to buy a new one because somehow it got a split and it was leaking around the tranny hole anyways. So now I have a new tube, one of those rubber sleeves, and 6 skinned knuckles. The tranny is installed and the air box is on making for a tight fit. and underneath the headers do not allow much hand room. Ive tried the sleeve on the stick, in the tranny, half in and half off. NOTHING WORKS!! [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif[/img] Please someone tell me the really easy way to get the stick to go in. I'm sure its something obvious that I just can't picture. Wayne

Those can be a pain. You just have to play with it.I've done it both ways, seal on the tube(harder) seal in the tranny-sometimes pushes the seal in.
The old O ring type were easier even if they didn't seal as good.
