Default What's it worth? Factory Hurst 65/66 4 speed shifter and Linkage

Hello

I'm installing a 5 speed this winter and have a very nice driver quality factory Hurst 4 speed shifter. The body is marked 3138 no visible number on the handle has the correct shift rods marked ''D" and factory mounting plate. Shifts very smooth had it apart and cleaned and lubed a couple summers ago. What would something like this be worth? the plan would be to list it here so someone can get some use out of it.
Thanks
Trevor

$150 would be a steal, $300 would be the high end, IMO, if the chrome on the stick is decent. Maybe a bit more with the linkage, which is getting spendy lately.

I don't know why but '64 to '67 shifters are all over the board. I have seen them sell anywhere from $99.00 on up to $450.00. Now obviously the $450.00 ones were super nice, possibly fully restored pieces but the $99.00 on up to $275.00 ones all appeared to be identical in condition. I'm going to guess timing and luck are the defining factors. I have never been able to pull more than $135.00 to $150.00 out of them and that's after carrying it around for a few years.

I’m interested in purchasing if you ever want to let it go.

I just had Pete do my '65 shifter. It's minty. Great service and communication throughout the process.

Thanks Everyone for the comments. I listed it locally in Canada and it sold with in 2 hours to a guy restoring his 65 Tri power convertible so it went to a good home.

You did good. But then, I've seen you Canadians spend some good money on your cars. Especially on chrome.

Thanks

Biggest problem I have found is supply and demand, The supply of Old Pontiacs in my neck of the woods is pretty limited so we are forced to spend probably more than the going rate for parts if they can even be found locally. Example I live on Vancouver island its about 460 miles long and a population of around 870,000 people. Over the last 30 years of being interested in Muscle cars (I'm 46) I cant count on both hands and have some fingers left over the number of 64-65 GTO/Lemans/Tempest that I have seen/owned/or heard about. I'm sure there are more tucked away that word hasn't gotten out about yet but I'm always looking! "The rest of North America" is 1.5 hours away by ferry to Vancouver then the options open up a bit more!
