Default Hood Dates

Those are May 12th and May 16th. The letter characters I have not been able to figure out, maybe stamping machine, shift etc? The rear bumpers and front fenders also have this same sequence for dating where applicable. Paul

Default Date Stamps

I have not looked at all year Bird and GTO fenders. What I have seen is on '69 Birds, the stamp is buy the front on the vertical engine compartment side, usually by the spot welds. On the '68/'69 GTO it is also on the engine side of the vertical portion spot welded to the outer fender but it is about 10" back from the front edge. Same can be said for the '65 GTO. '71 GTO has it on the horz lip by the hood hinges. Paul
