'57 Tri-Power Parts
I am restoring a '57 Tri-Power. Missing just a few parts. Maybe someone on this site can help.
First, on the passenger side of the end carbs, the return springs in '57 were a coil spring, stud, and lever on the carb throttle shaft. The coil spring is not a problem to find, but the lever and stud are not so easy. Does anyone have these parts that they would be willing to part with. Also, the center carb throttle lever is unique to the '57 setup, where the throttle rod pushes the bottom of the lever instead of pulling the throttle open like later Tri-Powers. Does anyone have one of these levers or complete shaft or throttle body that would work? I would also be interested in this same piece for a '58 Tri-Power., which is completely different from other years. Please PM if you have these parts and would be willing to sell. I have multiple throttle bases for the end carbs for '57 and '58 if you are interested. Thank you..

I"ve confirmed that the '58 Tri-Powers used coil springs on the end carbs to close the throttles. '57 was the only year to use the coil springs secured to the airhorns and hooked to the boomerang-shaped levers on the end carbs.
I've attached pictures of both. Sorry the '57 has been "customized."

Here is a picture showing the springs, studs, and arms for which Dick is searching.
Dick - I cannot help with the arms, but the studs are easily made on your lathe. Jon
