Default Frankencarb (again).

For $6500 one should be able to ask for the carburetor to have the original throttle plate and not parts from a Carter made aftermarket Quadrajet.

Then he should know Carter never made any Ram Air Quadrajets or parts, donīt you think?
Carter logo on throttle plate and floatbowl vent housing. Carter stamped # on throttle plate intake side.

Throttle plate is from a Carter 1967 6132S aftermarket Pontiac Qjet. There are no drilled holes in plate for idle bypass air in the 1968 and later casting style for this unit, BUT hole is drilled for ignition manifold vacuum advance port.
Also, the holes, uneven distance to edge, drilled in throttle valves are not factory holes.

Description from ad:
"1970 70 FIREBIRD TRANS AM GTO JUDGE RAM AIR III IV ORIGINAL production CARBURETOR. 7040273 WC 1040 date code .This carburetor has been professionally restored all correct and original numbers for Pontiac ram air application in 1970."

Obviously false, thus a "Frankencarb", as 99% of all RamAir carbs are on the "bay".
