Default Trunk finish
What is the correct material for the trunk of my '79 10th anniversary? The finish and the mat are both solid black, there are no flecks of any color in the finish. Does anyone sell the correct product?

My car (norwood) also has a matte black paint in the trunk, I suspect it be original. From what I gather there was no spatter paint used.

Exactly! It isnt a spatter paint. When it is loose from the trunk floor, it peels off like a skin. My car is a Van Nuys build. Anyone know what product this is?

Funny thing, I thought someone sprayed undercoating in my trunk! When I started looking around I realized that the finish was indeed just a plain black but I tend to agree it seems more than just paint. Maybe it was some kind of sound deadener?

That is the answer I am looking for. Someone who knows what product was sprayed in the trunks of these cars.
