BOP 8.2 gears
If i have 350hp street car can I get away with using a spacer to put 3.55 gears on a carrier with 2.78's.? I know for about $700 on ebay one could get gears and a 3 series carrier but...

there is no such thing as a "3 series" carrier for an 8.2 Pontiac rear.

Never use a spacer.
Wrecking the rear end at best or crashing the car and maybe getting killed are the possibilities. Spend the money to do it right.
