Default WTB: Kent Moore J-21412 Trunk Torsion rod Tool

Does anyone here have one of these they would like to Sell? I need to replace one of the rods on my 69 and this tool makes it alot easier. Thnx for any input.

If you can't come up with the tool, Fischer Body manual, Chapter 8, shows how to make one.

I made this one out of bed frame parts many years ago. It really does make it easy to adjust the torsion rods.

I agree it's a good idea to make your own. Very hard to find originals and when you do the seller tends to be heavy on the thumb like the guy on eBay now asking $350.

Apart from using it for resto work it's a good idea to adjust one rod if you add a power trunk. The factory set the left rod one notch softer with a power trunk install to avoid the trunk flying open when you hit the button in the glove box.

Had a 69 GTO, with a spoiler, and a power trunk. Friend was painting the car, had the spoiler off, and hit the trunk release button. Talk about quickly opening.....
