Exclamation Fastenal's Blue Lane Freight.

For those who may be interested.
I just sent another OHC engine out via Fastenal's Blue Lane Freight.

Both buyers were fairly close to a Fastenal location and it worked great.
They made the arrangements and I dropped it off at my local store.

This is a great option for anyone interested.

Strapped & Wrapped!

Thumbs up Decided to revisit the '66 engine.

Pulling parts out for Norwalk and not sure if I'm going to bring this with me, but figured I would add on some of the missing bits.

While at it I changed the oil just for the hell of it and cranked it over a few times to get the juices flowing

Thumbs up ADDITIONAL PARTS CORRECTION/ADDED...

Bell & Fly, were removed as this is an A.T. Engine, so I put a correct Flex plate on.
I left the Pilot Bushing in the crank.

If you prefer the M.T. parts that would be an additional cost.

Also found a Y pipe, not the best (a little thin on the flanges) but cleaned up nicely with no holes, Threw on a coat of High Temp cast iron coat just for the heck of it.

The price remains the same.

Everything is secured on Dollies for ease of moving.
Perfect height to slip under the bench out of the way.
Also easy to run if needed.

Exclamation 1966 4BC "SPRINT" Engine 2.0

Okay, here's where I'm at with this engine.

Just to reconfirm, It was said to be a running engine, and upon inspection, it sure seemed likely.

This engine was part of a lot that I bought, said to be used by a friend who ran it competitively for dirt track racing of sorts in an International Scout.
It has/had many mods of which I have removed a few.

The engine spun freely so that was a plus.
It cranked with no hesitation so at that point I decided it try and get it to fire.

The oil & filter were changed and the engine was primed, it made 26+ with no problem.

I then pulled off the fuel pump block off and installed a good working used pump. It primed with no issue as well.

I borrowed a carb from my friend and plumbed it in.

found a usable Y pipe.

Then changed the plugs, wires, coil, and points and tested them.
Spark was strong.

I did notice the Vacuum advance is a dual port which is not correct for '66 but will replace with a '66 correct unit.

I chose not to hook up my radiator stand so this is a short run video, but she lit off like a champ and sounded strong.

All numbers have been confirmed less the head. The plugs removed were/are R44XLS which makes me think this may be a '67 head. I do however have a correct head to include as I do not wish to lift the Cam House to check the head number.

The cam sprocket was removed to ID the Cam which is an "E" cam so it is correct.

The price will remain the same. But the Carb & Y Pipe as well as the new ignition parts are not part of the sale. All else conveys.
