1969 Pontiac Firebird Dash Light Directionals Question
Hello.
I have previously posted about my lighting issues. I originally had issues with the outside lights. Parking lamps, directionals, running lights, etc... I have everything working the way its supposed to. The only wiring deviation I used, was getting power to the driver side running light. I spliced into the power going to the driver side parking lamp. FYI...i had to replace the headlight switch ...which means taking apart the dash, etc... I used this time to replace all the bulbs etc.. Things are good and working until I put the dash back together. When I turn on the driver directional, the outside , front and rear work great but the directional indicator within the dash housing blinks as it would for the passenger. and vise versa. Also the passenger light is solid as well without any directionals on. Did not have this issue before. But I did remove the steering wheel, etc.. which I didn't put back on yet. Would this by chance cause the issue? Any ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated as always. Thank you. |

Did you mess with the turn signal actuator in the column at all? Check your electrical connections down the steering column. Try removing the power to that side marker light and see what happens.
