They found a good spot for the Motion Raceworks E85 flex fuel sensor. It’s right above the tank mounted to the brace that holds the fuel strap. It will be on the -8 ptfe return line right before the pump.

Looks good, nice work. So you didn't end up using the hellcat pump? What dissuaded you?

Thanks! Funkhouser race cars is doing a great job on the car. No I didn’t use the hellcat pump. It’s actually for sale for a very good price in the classifieds. I plan on going with a 88mm-94mm single turbo or possibly twin 70mm-78mm next year so I’m planning ahead for fuel system. Better to have too much fuel than to be cutting it close.

I guess I was more curious as to why you chose Holley's instead of adding a second Hellcat pump. Understand completely on wanting to have plenty of fuel!

Coil brackets are done. Making progress. The Terminator X will be going in soon.

If anyone needs a set of these coil brackets let me know and I’ll get a price. Same for the remote power steering brackets.

Small update. Fuel lines are and regulator are done. Sensor distribution block in. Having some clearance issues with the idle air control motor. It hits the inside of the shaker scoop. I found that Kinsler fuel injection makes a remote IAC set-up. So the new plan is the mount the remote IAC somewhere in the back and to tap into one of the open ports on the Steve Morris elbow. It’s a nice looking piece in the pictures. It uses a -10 AN fitting which should make install cleaner. I ordered the Wilson’s block-off plate as well. Hope this works.

It should work just fine as long as it's compatible with the Holley ECU. It's just a controlled air leak. Looking good, keep up the updates.

Not sure if it's too late to make a change, but I'll throw this out there in case others are heading this direction.

These have a very low profile LS style IAC arrangement, and interchangeable inlets with v-band style clamp rings already on them. Come in the solid linkage shown or traditional LS cable style.

Gotcha. And they did the lower brackets too?

That's one item I have to address, I have a make-shift one at the moment for the A body, will just have to figure it out I guess.

The 2nd gen ones are available from restore-a-musclecar, so I have the T/A figured out:

I appreciate the suggestion. If I was starting from scratch I’d give that one a try. Not sure if it would be enough clearance but it is definitely lower profile than the Wilson’s piece. It would be cheaper overall as well. My Wilson’s ford style 105mm billet dual seal throttle body was $565, the Wilson’s IAC adapter was $150 and the throttle bracket was $125.

Yeah they did upper and lower. I can ask how much it would be to produce another one if you like? Since my TA is still there to use as a template it should be possible. Just comes down to how much $ it will be.

If anyone wants a duplicate of my remote power steering set-up, speak up now while the car is there. It’s a pretty slick set-up and uses an AllStar 1600psi pump for use with the hydraboost. I went remote because the factory pump location interferes with the Stainless Headers turbo manifold. This gives me plenty of space

I understand. The main draw to me is the replaceable inlets, and never having to weld on the throttle body to have a v band attachment. I've resisted the urge to change to an elbow arrangement so far, but if I do, I'll use one of these throttle bodies.

Finding plug wires has been a challenge. The offerings that fit Holley smart coils is pretty limited. I ended up using Moroso Ultra 40 #73849 which are advertised as 11” long. I wish they were 1”-2” longer. I suppose I could’ve just had some made.

Truck length are longer by about an inch and a half... If you can find those in that wire.
ETA: I can measure a replacement truck wire for exact length if it helps.

Yeah truck length would be just about perfect (12”-13”) but I have yet to see any manufacturer making them with the smart coil end.

There is a company (I forget the name) that the LS crowd favors, that will make them to your dimension. A Google search will probably turn them up. If not I can find it on LS TECH, if you want.
ETA: Firecore is the name. You can specify ends, length and have a set that fits like you want.

I need them ASAP so I ordered a set of build your own Moroso Ultra 40’s and added the heat shrinks and protective sleeve ($$$). The Moroso fab shop said it would be 4-6 weeks for them to build them. I called several vendors and no one seems to have an “on the shelf” set with the Holley smart coil ends in truck length. Good news is I will have the materials to build extra sets if needed.

The Kinsler remote IAC arrived yesterday. Things are going to start happening fast in the next two days.
