Hard to say if they will make much of an improvement over the stock parts.
But they really are the only game in town for an aluminum manifold (assuming you don't have a vintage Man-a-Fre laying around). And the headers are the only ones that you might be able to buy right now. I am not sure why Clifford decided to use a Weber carburetor instead of a traditional square bore or Holley based unit. |

Sweet!
Someone spent some time on that engine, the headers may be worth more that the intake? Guessing it got pulled for a V8.

IIRC the performance increase was marginal compared to the cost to get it all hooked up.
More Show than Go, but it does look cool.

In my experience the the stock 4bbl manifold makes more power but weighs a lot more, the shorty headers are about a wash for true duels on the stock 4bbl exhaust manifold, the long tube headers made a a few more HP than the stock manifold with duels.
Unless you are going for underhood bling, or are trying to reduce weight the stock intake & exhaust make as good or better choices. Now if you are replacing 1bbl manifolds they are better choices, but you are still limited by the stock cam & valve springs on a 1bbl engine. As for value it is all over the place.

And for the most part, many of these Aftermarket bits have been exchanging hands for decades never really being used.
Someone will buy them with hopes and dreams to get them and use them only to realize there are so many other items needed to do so. I have quite a few file images showing Mock-ups but very few show complete and running. If I had a set, I too would likely just turn them into Wall-Hangers in the shop.

OHC-6 Weight reduction using AL Intake and any headers makes the OHC-6 lighter than the 455 (AL intake, headers).
Otherwise, part-for-part, the OHC-6 just might be surprisingly add-up as HEAVYier than the PMD 455 V8. Except the Rods and pistons. |

These are on a '68 Firebird. The owner has had the car for awhile, and no longer trusts the Sprint 6. Don't know the entire history, but they want the old motor swapped for a 428.
Not sure if they will be selling any of it, or keeping it.

The shorty style were fab'ed up in Canada and the shipping costs alone were horrific. It would be sweet to have some made in this country.

Clifford's first header was a real long tube design and a PITA to work with.
I had some pictures of a few sets that were lost after a system crash The 2nd design "SHORTIES" as they are referred to were more commonly seen but still in limited numbers. [/url]
