Default Interior questions

1. I had carpet put in months ago by an upholstery guy and when he did it, he didn’t get the kick panel edge that folds around over the body metal edge on. Of course I didn’t notice until going to put sill plates on. I can’t pull the kick panel out far enough to unfold plastic lip to go on that metal edge.

What’s the trick?

2. Can you tell me what these interior pieces are and where they go?

Second picture:

Bottom piece is the driver's side windlace. Goes on the window channel above the two side windows and captures the headliner.

Top piece is the passenger side windlace.

Two pieces that look like L's are the door windlace. Goes behind the quarter door panels and tucks under the sill plates.

Last piece is only a portion of the entire part. Appears to be the front windshield windlace that will go on the upper portion of the interior at the front windshield. The small string of plastic, that usually has another larger piece of plastic similar to the other side, goes behind the rearview mirror.

Any chance you have an illustration of how that door jam wind lace fits in? I was messing with it today and noticed there are a few prongs (so to speak) that stick inward (away from the door opening) and it appears the wind lace would fit up in the prongs? I really have no idea. I guess I learned my lesson by not removing the interior prior to paint. Does the colored material stick out, outside the quarter panel interior panel? You said it tucks under the sill plate so it sounds like it is sticking outside the panel.

The lower edge sticks out and then wraps under the sill plate.
