I have a '64. Had an old Super-tuner from '85 until recently. Just sent my original AM here: https://www.mcrconversions.com/ I got all the bells and whistles. Not cheap! But I'm anxious to try it. He said about 8 weeks turnaround.

I have a RetroSound in my '67 Cutlass, and I was looking at a 2nd one for my '79 T/A. There are some photos in this thread.

X2 on a RetroSound. I really like the quality of electronics in their units. I have their Daytona Longbeach 4 in my '69 GTO. Only thing I don't like is they don't offer Pontiac knobs. I modified a set of Pontiac knobs to make them work along with some other optional knob collars from RetroSound for the radio controls. I'm happy with how it came out but it wasn't simple to do.

I put an AAR radio in my '66. Pretty pricey for what it is, but you get decent wattage, bluetooth, EQ settings, and a fairly decent appearance.

I have Vintage Air also. I have a stock dummy radio in the dash with a Marine radio in the console. Easy access, AM/FM Stereo, Bluetooth, USB, Weather. I just leave a USB plugged in all the time with 3000 songs in 5 folders. The radio reads the folder names and song title or artist. Doesn't lose memory when the battery is disconnected.

Depending on what you want out of a radio, some of the newer ones that are AM-FM with bluetooth only (no CD player) are quite shallow. Here's one from Dual that's only 2.3" deep, so it may fit in your glove box even with the Vintage Air setup. It's also only $25.00. (note that I have no experience with this radio, it's just an example - I know there are others that are similar.) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dual-Elec...sRedirect=true

I like the look or the aar radio but I think I’m going to go with the retro sound radio just have to make sure I’ve got enough room with the vintage air for it to fit

I used Custom Auto Sound. I have their USA 740 in 2 of them and their USA 630 in a third. The 740 is the newest model and has all the features.

I was originally looking at the USA-749 but there were so many complaints about them mostly on mustang forums but it was enough to make me shy away

I didn't see if it was mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but the Retrosound lets you mount the face and the body separately. I had room to mount it like a conventional radio, but IIRC the cord for the faceplate is several feet long, so the body could be mounted in the glovebox or elsewhere.

Back in 2016 I installed the Retrosound Model 2 in my GTO where the original radio installs without any modifications to the dash. It has decent sound, 3 FM and 2 AM bands plus Bluetooth and USB auxiliary inputs. It looks "reasonably" like it belongs there, but it isn't going to fool anyone into thinking it's an original radio.

It isn't "intuitive", I frequently have to pull out the manual to remember how to change some of the settings.

It also doesn't maintain time and other settings when the battery is disconnected. It came with a 5 amp bypass fuse wire that you can use to keep minimal power going to it if you use a "quick disconnect" type of clamp on the battery, as I do.

The newer RetroSound Motor 4 versions will retain settings after disconnecting the battery.

I picked up a blue tooth device.
You set your radio to a certain station and the sound from your phone goes to it.
It plugs into the Aux port I added years ago for 12 volt power.
It will work in the cigarette lighter too.

It's actually pretty cool.
Phone and waze works too.
