Thanks, so what is the correct stud to use for a 4bbl with the W72 air cleaner? I may have it in the garage, still looking. Appreciate it.

Well, I hope this is right.

Top stud next to the ruler is PN 481341 (off my '74, but used on '70-76 (at least) V8-4bbl Firebirds). Length is 3.00" OA, 0.425" long, 1/4-20 thread one end and 1.0" long, 1/4-20" thread on the other.
Middle stud was pulled from a 17058266 carb. Length is 3.525" OA, 0.425" long, 1/4-20 thread one end and 1.125" long, 1/4-20" thread on the other.
Bottom stud was purchased on eBay from Motor City Musclecar. Bad item, but since I was going to thread it more and trim it down, it wasn't too big a deal for me. But it does show what eBay is for to these people. Suppose to be 3.75" OA length. 0.4" long, 1/4-20 thread one end and 0.825" long, 1/4-20" thread on the other with extra.
