66 421 tri power, can,t get the idle down screw all the way out, spring in last hole

Default 1966 421 can,t get idle down

Cannot get idle down on the goat, idle screw backed out all the way, return spring in last hole, what's the solution

First thing I would try would be to disconnect the front-to-rear linkage rod; then check to see if both front and rear carbs are sealing.

Is this a new phenomenon or has it always been like this?
If it's new, have you changed anything on the carburetors or links?

ke fast idle cam hanging
