Default ignition switch

I was under the dash of my 65 Bonneville and noticed a broken wire coming from the ignition plug ,I pulled and checked the switch, the broken wire was in the reg(regulator) spot on the switch.....my question is does this wire run directly to the regulator and which position on the regulator or is there a junction that this feeds.....any help would be greatly appreciated........Larry

What color is it? Then we can check the schematic or trace for you. IIRC one is black with white that goes to regulator.
