Default 71 Esprite muffler needed

I have a 43,000 mile rust free Esprit but I backed my original muffler into something and damaged it so it sounds like I'm popping popcorn. What and where do you guys recommend a stock appearing and stock sounding muffler ? It's a single in and single out transverse muffler.
Thanks again for the help !!

Ricksgto thanks for the muffler lead. The esprit is quiet and just want to keep it that way. Did you see my vac post ?

A stock (one inlet/one outlet) transverse muffler SHOULD still be available from Walker or Maremount.....hopefully BOTH are still in business....

Just for sh*ts and giggles....take to Midas and see what they say.....

You are making popcorn prolly due to starting and idling your engine without driving it....

That just fills it with condensation.... which has rusted a baffle loose....

they definitely sell it separate...I suppose I got the stainless steel; muffler for $200 as they list an alternate aluminized one for $139...plus they sell any piece separate for your exhaust if you need it..the website is very specific stating that the muffler is a copy of the o.e.m. in looks & sound..I am getting ready to install mine ..I was very happy with what I got from them...OL PINION head recommended them so he gets all the credit!!

Default WALDRON MUFFLER

sorry, no ESPRIT pix..but I do have one of a muffler that you should get for your ESPRIT...WALDRON sells it with single outlets on each side..or trick out your ESPRIT with a true duals, TRANS AM style!..just test fitting and ready to carefully tap in the old meets new muffler..I gotta say that it must be tempting to go with a more modern style system(with added H.P.)..BUT SOME OF US, gotta stay retro..I will say and keep making a big deal out of a dumb muffler but its exact to my original with the slots cut out on the inlets..but what I am really dying for is to light my Firebird and actually hear how the 455 H.O. sounds coming out this new muffler..and after that?....did someone once mention a smokey burnout?!

anyone have experience with this one? just curious how it sounds. i'm guessing it has a nice OEM type of burble rather then a flow master type of noise?..

if you mean the Waldron's dual crossflow, here's a couple of videos Rocky posted when the muffler first came out:
