Default I built rotesserie. Need help with attaching 74 TA.Checking Condition

I built a rotesserie per plans from oh,Red wing,I think that was the name. My question will rotesserie support 74 TA body and front subframe.Body is stripped. I guess I am worried body will deform with subframe attached.Ideas on best attachments,Any ideas for extra braces would be helpful. Getting ready to ship body for restoration.Checking body for any surprises.

I would take subframe off to ship / work on the body. You can attach the subframe to the rotisserie brackets though, no issues.

I was going to leave subframe attached. Ok maybe I will unbolt.I just wanted to inspect closely underneath before I ship it to get restored. See if any unseen problems.

I'm also ready to mount my 74 on my rotisserie. Had to make some structural repairs so supported the body on the ground in several spots and made the repairs first. Plan on attaching the body at rear shackle hole and drop the bracket down below the valance. At the front using the front subframe mount and fender mount at the top of the cowl.

hey there, i have also built a rotisserie from the redwing plan, works great for my 68 GTO, its off now but it was very sturdy. i would recommend using the lower brace that connects the two sections together lengthways. you can see pics on my build post

Take the sub frame off then you'll be able to work on it at home & the body will go wherever to be done. Any rotis, should be built strong enough to hold the body without sub frame on it. Thats the way most are done anyway.

GRNMT ... got any more pics of your homemade roller? I'm going to be building one soon, love to get ideas from other people's builds.

Just crude, two freestanding 'A' frames with a big bolt through the top as a pivot. Can't move it around but didn't plan to. $100 for steel. Now donated to another firebird project.I could turn the shell with one hand and snug up a pivot bolt nut to keep it there. Good luck, Bruce.

Some NICE fabrication work there to get the balance as close as you did.

Thanks for the photos .... all ideas are helpful, I've got to build a somewhat special one that will allow a chassis to be rolled in and out underneath. Adjustability for balance adds a LOT of work to the fabrication ... the closer I can come off the bat ... the less adjustability will be needed, and the easier my life will be

Thanks guys for ideas and pics. I googled rotesserie, one guy made one out of 2x wood. Not sure how safe but innovative.
