Default make it easier please!! PY

OK, im not complaining but why is it you just can,t bring up py or anybodys catalog and find a search engine for a part and just buy it?? No, first you must download a catalog then search for what you want then find a part no. Case in point i need dr. jam switched right know, ok i should just go to PY page see a search for part and bring there it is,?? why not?? nothing is ever easy, or maybe somebosdy is listening to me?? Well maybe??

67, Three steps.

1. Enter PY online ordering (registered or unregistered)
2. click on the 'SEARCH' button
3. Choose 'search by description'

Keep in mind that any search is only as good as the words you key in. For example, above you wanted 'door jamb switch' and spelled it 'dr. jam switched'. No search engine is going to find what you are looking for with that spelling. It is best to limit the words you search by. Also, because sometimes it is hard to describe a part in 27 characters, PY sometimes abbreviates the descriptions therefore making it hard to find by this method.

It would be nice if there was a way to browse parts other than the search option. I have not bought anything from PY in a long time because of the frustration of the system. Summit is just easier!

It's unfair to compare our online ordering system with Summit's. Summit is a huge performance retailer. PY is a classic Pontiac specialist that stocks items to the nut and bolt level for your Pontiac. That being said, there are still many ways to browse parts other than the search option. You became familiar with Summit's logic by experimenting. Since 90% of what we stock, Summit doesn't, why not register and call our office one time so we can guide you through our systems logic. Once you know how to use the system, it's quite easy.

Summit's search system is FAR from perfect.
Many items can't be found unless you know the item number and enter it in the search box.

Very true to both of the above posts. I just find PY tough to navigate and give up.
