Took the "plunge"- purchased a '74 TA!
Always liked the 74-75 body style.. After "loosely" looking for a few years, Mark B (in Mass- thanks man!!) hooked me up with another Mark and we have a gentleman's agreement that I will buy his TA. Just need to get down south to pick it up!
Admiralty blue, blue interior, 400, w/ Th 400. Needs paint, body, interior work.. Need to get her home, assess, figure out a plan of attack. Thinking 4 speed, honeycombs, some minor suspension, brake, and driveline mods.. That's about it. Sticking with blue on blue. Very excited about this one!

Congratulations on becoming an owner of a 1974 TA.
The last year of the smaller rear window, giving the rear body more strength. The Last year for dual exhaust and no catalytic converter. The last year for the turbo 400 transmission. The last year of the 160MPH speedometer. I believe the production numbers were relatively low in 1974, something like 10,000. Looking forward to seeing some pictures and hearing more about it. FYI, I ordered, purchased a new 1975 TA. This is the car I owned my my wife and I started dating. |

Congrats...
I just sold my blue '74 to a feller in Kuwait of all places - I wasn't prepared to take on a full restoration. I will miss her though - best car I ever owned - never let me down for 20yrs. I just purchased a white '74 in much better condition however it may be cursed...lol |

damn you , glenn:
I have those wheels on my 71 Lemans and would not fit them to my T/A afraid I would like them too much - fears realized. OP: 74's are quite nice for reasons stated. Had I sense when transforming my 79 into a fake 71 I would have made it a 74-75 - much easier! |
