Roger,

Deal directly with the person hauling your vehicle

Decide whether you want open or enclosed

Pay no deposit up front

Expect to wait .... one to two weeks is not enough notice

Roger,..Jim from TrulyVintage hauled my recent purchase(that's me and the Judge I bought) from Ohio down to Fla./Ga. line and had the best prices(I checked with a bunch of transporters)and was just the nicest guy and loves what he does...I was getting up-dates regularly and he makes sure it is going to get to where it has to go safely!

I'll second what Jim wrote regarding dealing directly with the person actually transporting the vehicle. Often, a broker will imply that they are a carrier and you may not know who will haul your car. A broker also does not have legal liability for the car, so you could be up the creek in the event of damage. In many cases, regulatory agencies don't have any jurisdiction to help you if something happens.

Bluesugar thanks for the recommendation. Wish my 70 was 1/2 as nice as that Judge. Will be contacting TrulyVintage. Sounds like a great outfit worth dealing with. Roger

Thumbs up

In the past 20 years, I've had 3 cars delivered, none with any bad experience. After talking with Jim(TrulyVintage), it was obvious he was very knowlegable, and I agree, cares and take pride in his transport profession. Will definately be using his service now, and possibly in the future.
