2017 GTOAA Convention
Our 38th International Convention’s online registration is now active.
Hosted by the Gateway GTO’s, our 2017 Convention will be held June 26-July 1 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield Illinois. There are a LIMITED amount of rooms at the host hotel with the event discounted rate. We suggest you book a room now before these rooms sell out, rooms are filling fast, they will not last long. Hotel Booking Questions
I was looking into booking a room and thought I'd ask the question here to see if we can clarify the terms of booking under the GTOAA rate. As the attachment shows, the "your rate" dialog box indicates:
1) A deposit for the ENTIRE STAY is due at the time of booking 2) Canceling your reservation or failing to arrive will result in forfeiture of your deposit. Taxes may apply. So are we correct to interpret the GTOAA rate as for a non-cancelable reservation? Also note that the rate is different by of the week, and the system defaults to a seven-night booking. Thanks for any clarification that anyone "in the know" can provide! |

Note on my message above that I heard back from the Gateway GTO Club, the registrations are supposed to be fully refundable.
There may be a problem with the registration link so stay tuned, but make sure that you don't inadvertently book into a non-refundable reservation in the meantime. |

We are checking out the web link but the Hotel Reservations management are not in today. The rooms are fully refundable and are $129.00 per night.

Just a heads up for those who qualify, I am a vet and the veteran rate is $91.00 a day. I've had my reservations since August. "Bill"!
I registered yesterday on the GTOAA web site. I guess when I registered for concourse judging, that is automatically inside?? I did not see anything about inside parking or a fee. |

Thursday June 29th from 8:30 until 10 am I am a guest speaker. I will be covering 3 topics, early GTO restorations which I know quite a bit about, Hurst History again know quite a bit and last but not least door VIN decals as I cover 1970 thru 1989 working with ECS Automotive Concepts. I will have a contest with prizes...
