1967 Catalina Vinyl roof
I'm interested in converting a 67 non-vinyl roof Catalina to a car with a vinyl roof- which requires special trim moldings. I found the necessary trim pieces for a '68, can anyone tell me if they interchange? They look the same.
The unique trim is the rear quarter wrap around to the truck lid, the trunk lid spear, and the thin black panel (which is actually a casting finished to look like a piece of vinyl) between the trunk lid and the window. I think the backlight moldings are the same for a non-vinyl roof car. Have I got this right?

You are correct in your analysis. 67 vinyl tops and moldings are interchangeable with 68. .
