Black painted areas - 1974 T/A
Tried this in the 74-76 Firebird section - maybe I'll have more luck here;
My car is getting close to final paint and the bodyshop has asked for details on the areas of the car that will be finished in colors other than the Cameo White top coat. What percentage gloss black is the underside of the hood - is it the same as the inner fenders, firewall and core support? Are the 2 x fender braces the same black color - or are they gloss? The bottom of the rear window and the area between the cowl and the dashpad are painted the same color as the interior - the interior on my car is black. Is the black the same color as the other black areas or are those two locations matte black instead? Lastly what is the correct 'splatter' color for the trunk floor on a 74 T/A? Should it be black and aqua or grey and white? TIA!

Have been using hot rod black on the last few cars. Has more gloss than the 60% most use but I like the look. Used HRB on dash top and rear glass trim on first car. Had too much reflection on the windshield so the next car went flat on those areas. Still has a bit of shean and looks closer to my 80 TA with original paint. The trunk is black with aqua.
