Anyone has suggestions on where to send a Qjet carb for an SD 455 to get it rebuilt? Thanks

There was just a thread on here about that very subject. I see you are new here. Do you know how to use the search feature? The street section might be a good place to look. At the top of that section click on ‘search’ then type qjet or quadrajet rebuild and hit go.

Ray Klemm took over building after member Cliff R stopped. I don't know if Ray is a member here, but is on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/CRKPerformance/ https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=875643

If this is a (stock) REBUILD, and not a RECALIBRATION, you might as well do it yourself in your garage. Buy your parts from a specialty vendor such as The Carb Shop or Cliff Ruggles. A couple cans of aerosol carb cleaner, some paper towels, and some measuring tools will be required.
A high-school kid can rebuild a Q-Jet if the core is decent, aside from bushing the throttle shaft(s) and re-plating the parts. The difficulty, and the problems, are in the non-stock "custom" work; and in the mass-market accelerator pump cups. |

I've read of a few folks that had Ray "do" their Q-jet. All of them were impressed with his work.

I agree and have already contacted Ray. Will remove and send in the carb when driving season is over.
