Default Adding hazard flashers

Fortunately, there's only been a a couple of times I've needed hazards in the last 20 plus years, but I'd like to add them to the car in my signature. I'm not really interested in the old bulky metal switch version that was common in the day. Anyone done a modern style addition? Hazard switches are easy to find in smaller versions. I'm not super electrically inclined, but I can follow directions... Any input/advise/recommendations appreciated.

I just put in a old school flasher in my 64. Hid it up under the dash. Had 1 problem though. Overtime you step on brake pedal with flashers on,
it would feed power back to ignition switch and somehow crank the engine over. LOL. had me a little baffled, Car has pretty much stock wiring.
Ended up putting a diode in the brake switch wire, between the turn signal switch and brake pedal.
And yes like you I have never really had to use it but would be nice to have when needed.
But no I don't any info on your search.

Try any company that sells street rod parts. They have some small nice looking units.

Appreciate that. I've never built any street rods... Any recommended sites? A generic Google search doesn't really turn up much. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

I recall a friend's 66 Falcon had the hazard switch factory mounted in the glove box. That was 50 years ago so the memory may be off a bit. Possibly the same from a Mustang?

Look for a Signal-Stat / Flare-Stat Hazzard Switch.
These came in several versions over the years.

There are many offerings online (epay etc,)

The more Basic/Universal switches will have clip-on wiretaps.
Or you might be able to secure the unit that was made for Pontiac as a Plug and Play installation (Dealer Option)

The one in my '66 was also used on/in '65's
