Pat, Are you going to leave the trunk as is also? Did you ever get the part numbers off of your mufflers? I agree with the pictures thing, can't have enough.

Lyn.

Yup, trunk will be left alone too. Has some wear in there, but what you would expect for a car of this era. I have the muffler numbers written down somewhere. Steve is gonna steam clean the under side and leave it untouched. It too is so nice and clean under there. Probably like your new honey!

Leave the bumper guards in the box for the next guy...IMHO.

Looks like a really solid, no hassle car. What options does it have? I didn't see the eBay ad when it was online.

It has 24 options on it if I recall. Has all the WW5 options ordered on it, plus some notables like am/fm stereo, A/C, floor lighting, power windows, safe-t-trac, rear bumper guards...

I don't know about the bumper guards Mike........they've kinda grown on me. They look so odd ball cause you never see them. Makes the car that much more unusual. Original owner did option the car car to fool the insurance companies. A documented "sleeper" car for sure.

Sounds like a real score. Your new toy would have side post battery by the way.

Thanks Pat.....I dunno about that...I think only the HD optioned batteries got the side posts. I don't think mine had a HD batt....I'll have to double check.

Whoops, counted up the options on the build sheet...there are 37 options listed on there! Battery says R59S in the square. Anyone know if that's a side post or top post battery?

That's a top post battery, rats. I was so sure you'd get the side post option since it was a loaded car.
By the way, I found the cable length. There's a NOS one and it is 45 inches. $129.000!!!

Just as a quick comment on the cable.
Wrong one and wrong tube to protect from exhaust manifold results in a car that won't shut off.

Voice of experience from the T-37. Only problem I ever had when the car was new until I toasted the clutch at 22k miles.
Thankfully it was a top post, spring ring cable.

Looking good Pat. Is that the special order color Adriatic Blue '72 Trans Am in front of your car? What are the odds of two very rare special ordered '72 round port Pontiacs (the Adriatic TA and your Lucy Lemans) end up at the same shop miles away from home at the same time 42 years later to be restored.
