69 Firebird - Reproduction Bumper Recommendations - Front and Rear
Can anyone provide feedback on repro 69 Firebird bumpers?
These are the available brands that I've seen. I am looking for the nicest bumpers I can find, not the cheapest. (and I don't want to rechrome my bumpers) - Dynacorn - Golden Star - Goodmark - OER Thanks in advance.

I haven't had any experience directly with bumpers, but almost every repop part I've dealt with on my 69 leaves a lot to be desired. The dynacorn parts I have are the worst, followed by OER.
Since your statement is that you're looking for the nicest, not the cheapest, in all honesty, that's going to be rechroming your factory bumpers. In fact, the main reason my car has color keyed bumpers is because of the same boat you're currently in. There's not really a reputable chrome shop in my area so I simply had them painted.

I bought front and rear bumper for mine, they are from Goodmark. Front was bought thru Rock Auto and the back I got from Summit. They both came in box's that had Golden something written on it. The reason I bought from them was strictly on price. These parts all come from Taiwan and they probably all come from the same distributor. And the Chrome work was of decent quality for the money.

We have owned it for about five years. A fairly rare one with true ram air. (611 option)

Because you have a rare car, the only option should be re-chrome your original bumpers. I had mine done by Tri City and was happy with the results. IMHO, the more GM parts used during the resto the better the results will be.

I have a friend with a 69 Firebird who has a repro, I can tell the metal is thinner and the chrome not as thick/nice as factory. I'll be having my original re-done for sure.

Aren’t the original bumpers date coded as well?
