Does anyone have production numbers on how many 1972 ModelJ had a 455 installed?

I don't have any specific data on that, but there were 13,560 455 engines in GP. (no designation of which ones)

There were 9398 SJ GP's made.

So, if one figures all the SJ's were 455's (no clue if so), subtract that from the 13,560 total 455 GP.

So more or less around 4100 'J' model GP?

Haven't seen any Fred Simmonds info on the GP.

Hi there! Do you still have my old Revere Silver '72?

Per this article from 2006..... 13560 455's were installed into GP's of which 9398 were SJ's. That calculates to 4162 GP Model J's were equipped with the 455.

Awesome! The car looks great, you certainly gave it a good home. It looks so much better now.
