Default Painting 77 T/A

My first black paint job. I think it's coming along nicely.

I did my body work using rage gold, and some plastic honey to thin it out for the larger areas.

Afterwards I shot it in a high build with a Harbor Freight gun. Sanded that down with 320, and then wet sanded that with 600.

Laid down 3 coats of Omni base coat. Followed that up 2 coats of Omni production clear. Let that sit over night, and next day went sanded that with 600. After that shot one heavy coat of clear again.

These pics are after the last coat of clear. I still need to wet sand and buff, but I'm happy with how it came out. I got a nice run that I need to sand out, but there's definitely enough product on the car to work with.

I have never seen the Omni production clear used.
Looks awsome!!
Bet you saved some money too.
Lots of blocking pays off !!
What gun you use for the clear?

I used an Iwata Ls400. I picked it up used for not a whole lot. They're pricey new.

Still plenty of wet sanding to go, but I'm happy with it so far!
