Engine IN frame engine mount change
How difficult is an in-frame engine mount change?
No body on the car ... just chassis with the engine in ... before I drop the body on I think I might want to change from the crappy parts store mounts to the new correct mounts from Ames. Engine is hooked up and running, log exhaust ... wondering if I can get in there and change them without hoisting the engine up. Could bring the hoist over and lift/support the side of the engine I was working on easy enough. |

Scott ... hey, no amateur here, I've got a starter strap installed
No need to remove the exhaust manifold or down pipe? Pipe would be easy enough. I was looking at the Torq Loc, but since this is a stock build figure the new "standard" mount that Ames is selling that has the correct gauge metal and such would be enough. |
