Default Need some education here ;), tilt steering column and driver's seat.

I am thing about adding a tilt steering column. What years cover the 1970 GTO as far as fitting and swapping. Also would like to look inot what was offered for the same car in a driver;s seat. Was there a 3-way manual seat and it it worth while to install an electric seat. THX all.

Default At least 1970-72 columns will interchange. 1970-72 Grand Prix works, too.

We've swapped in about a dozen in various A and G bodies.

You might have to swap the ignition switches around though.

I've heard that 1969 is the same, but have never used one.

Power seat tracks are pretty common in 1969-72 Grand Prixs and would fit, too.

Good luck!

Was 69 or 70 the first year for the column switch ?

Came back from a tour in SEA in early 70. Had to get the Avis lady to come out and show me where the key went...

Default 1969 was first.

1969 was the first year for the column-mounted ignition key and switch.
