Default Body line question

Anyone have any decent pics of an original/unrestored/survivor car's door to quarter gap and upper body lines. While mocking up my new quarters on my 66 I was able to get a surprisingly good gap considering how much of my car I had cut apart.. but I noticed how much sharper the upper body line on the quarter is compared to the door.. on both of my doors the body line soften and fades above the door handle. Trying to look at pics is deceiving, and it's hard to tell if they stay sharp all the way or fade like my doors.. I guess I need to know which is correct, my new quarters, my doors or both? Thanks in advance for any help.

Johnny

Here are a few photos of my '66. My car has the original quarter panels, and although the doors are not original to the car, they are original (i.e., not repop) doors with the original skins.

Looks great, but wish it was paint, hard to make out the sharpness of the lines in primer. Awesome car though, love seeing these old goats getting new life breathed into them.

I hope this helps some.

My ‘66 Unrestored Survivor with 55 year old dull paint.

RH side is the same.

Johnny, here are a few more of my car from when it still had paint on it. This is when it still had the original doors that it left the factory with. Admittedly not the best photos for your purpose... Unfortunately, my car is currently off with the painter, so I can't get any better photos for you right now, but my recollection is that the door and quarter panel were pretty similar to one another with regard to the sharpness of that particular body line.

Wow!!! Chris, that car is incredible!!! Perfect just how it is!!! It looks like the body line stays sharp on the quarter, and appears to be sharp on the door above the handle too? Am I seeing that correctly? Thank you for the pics!

Thanks again ZeGermanHam!!! Much easier to see with the paint! And definitely seems to be sharp all the way down the door. 👍🏻
