On net seeing a way to remove broken bolts in aluminum
Just watched video on removing broken bolts inside of a hole. Heat is your friend. Guy used a piece of copper tubing to protect threads, then 'stacked' mig weld inside until above surface. Then one way he showed was to weld an old screw driver at an angle(lever) to mound of weld. Bolt wasnt torqued high. The second was a bolt broke flush but at about 100 ft lbs torque. Welded a nut with mig, high heat. Got it broke loose then kept working it back and forth then hit it with oxy-propane-acetelene torch. I havent had luck with easy outs, penetrating oils,or reverse drills. Think I'm going to find broken off bolts in junk to practice.
