Default phs order doc 73 ventura

Hi Guys got my phs info for my 73 ventura i recently purchased turns outs to be a base ventura not a sprint or ventura custom was navajo orange beige top and interior
But is has the the sprint front end car had been in nz since 1974

One thing of interest is the t41 code on the sheet I am told this was a front end change done at the factory is this unusual ??? and or correct

I know by reading this forum there has been a debate perhaps this code may throw some light on it was a early build car late feb 73

Any feedback appreciated

Also what did the y80 decor group stand for as the car has all the ventura custom sprint offerings but vin say base base ventura hatchback
I spoke to guy here many years ago had a 73 ventura 4 door in ascot silver with the same front as mine

Cheers Walter

The 'Sprint' front end became an option on 10/06/72 on Base and Custom models. It was called 'Front Styling Option'. It was announced on Pontiac 'Car Distribution Bulletin' #73-22. Sales code #432 , UPC code#T41. It was a $38.00 MSRP upgrade.

At our Pontiac dealership it was a fairly common option that we ordered on dealer stock cars in '73.

The Ventura in the movie "Seven Ups" must have had this option then!

I knew I wasn't nuts remembering all the 73's with this grille at local Poncho dealer, that were not Sprints.

I remember in high school a guy (older senior) had a Ventura much like the OP's and it was stoopid fast. When we would take our cars ( I did not race my Sprint) out to 111th street and race this guy beat everyone that raced him.
