Default edelbrock p22 intake dual quad setup

Hello,i am looking for an edelbrock p22 intake or a complete dual quad setup with a p22 intake or just a factory carb setup without the intake for my 61 catalina. It currently has the original 389 10.25 compression motor.

Just FYI, the Offy intake is closer to the original Pontiac intake than the edelbrock, and you can use the original style air cleaners with the Offy intake, you can't with the edelbrock.

We are out of the 2x4 Offenhauser manifolds, but this list may help you decide which Offenhauser will suit your needs.

Can help with carbs, once you obtain a manifold.

I have a '5162' that per Carbkings chart says it's for 61-64. But it is different from the one pictured in his chart. The water outlet is different. 61Catalinaguy, if you don't come up with one anywhere else, I would sell this one. PM me if interested.

Tom, can you post a link to the new one on ebay. I searched and the only new one I found was a high rise for 65-up, not a 5162. I want to compare a picture to the 5162 that I have.

Not to hijack this thread, but Poison Heart, do you remember the Part # of that intake? The one I have looks exactly like it. It has '5162' on the underside.

This one has a part number of 5029 but it is not a 5029 intake. I have no idea how the part number was cast wrong into it. This intake is made to fit the 55-60 AND 61-64 heads. I'm not exactly sure which part number this intake should be but it does fit 55-60 AND 61-64 since this intake does have both coolant passages and is even shaped different than all other 5029 intakes I have seen. I didn't notice that it had both coolant passages and when I filled the motor up with coolant HUGE leak. hahaha

This one is a 5162 which I think came in low rise and a higher rise. I believe this one is the taller one.

That's on a '63 389. Notice how the front of the intake lines up with the 63 timing cover.

There's a 5161 intake with the low rise design. That's on a '60 block with 59 parts. Notice the bolt hole and water passage in the very front of the intake and how it does not line up with the 59 timing cover.

I hope this helps.

After looking at your pictures, I went to the shop to look at my intake again. It is definitely a '5162' but it is a twin to the first one you pictured. It has the water outlet coming out the front, not out the top like the others you posted; and the later (65-up) intakes. It is a low rise intake and is missing the 'adapters' to mount the carbs.
