Lighted rear view mirror wire

Could you be more specific? I went to the junkyard and got a lighted mirror out of a cavilier and took the 3 wire harness with it. I clipped it off as long as I could get it, which was about 2 feet. Then, 1 wire went to ground-black, 1 went to door jamp switch-white, and 1 went to constant 12 volt dc-lighted mirror in visor-orange. There are a lot of mirror upgrades out there so my post is a guess on what you may have.
