More progress.........
Thanks for the comps, gents .
Got the doors and front fenders installed. Check out the sweet door gaps, far better than my as-built gaps, thanks to my skilled body & paint man . The bumper pic shows the chrome pealing around the bumper mounting holes . The rear bumper was mounted on the car for about an hour w/ only 30# of torque on the bolts when the chrome puckered & cracked around the bumper bolt heads. Back to the chromer tomorrow . Les

Did the Radiator drop right in? You had that already in the car, correct?

Radiator mods.......
Thanks James,
That's a Summit race radiator (same as the one that B-man is using in his LS-3 powered Tempest) that I fabbed to fit. Let me know if you need more info, or check out Bart's lengthy thread for details. Les

Update........
A few missteps: had to respray the hood as it was lighter than the surrounding bodywork and the rear bumper needed replating due to poor adhesion which resulted in the chrome lifting around the mounting bolts. Should pick up the bumper tomorrow, hang it, and then do the first walk around inspection before picking the car up next week .
I installed the aluminum window mouldings and the stainless rocker panels . Currently working on the vent windows and the new window channels and "fuzzies". I am using RAAMmat (1/2 the cost Dynamat and works just as well) materials to insulate the GTO's cabin and doors against the rowdy 3" exhaust . Les

BUDGET!! I knew I forgot something when I started my restoration.
And, I am liking you less and less the closer you get to being finished! That is a beautiful car.
