It came with the project car and it was new in the box. I figured that I would use it to see how it works vs. buying a new deal. If it doesn't keep it cool...I will be buying a new deal.

Hi Steve-

I now take all of my blasting to Specialty Stripping in North Hampton, NH:

Specialty Stripping
60 Lafayette Rd
North Hampton, NH 03862 Map

(603) 964-6693

Worth the (painful) drive and they turn stuff around the same week.

I have tried several local places and they are the best. Not the cheapest, but they know what they are doing. They use different types of media based on what they are blasting (and actually use diff media on the same piece they are blasting if needed) and really take the time to do it right. You should see the cars they have done (they have a wall of pics that include the Hudson Hornet and many +$1M vintage cars). They will even do fiberglass cars. And the place looks like a hole in the wall. Very nice people (husband and wife...the wife does most of it)

They typically get around $65-75 per fender and $650-750 for a whole shell to give you a range. I think the rearend was $65. My '73 Camaro shell is going there next week.

I actually brought some pieces to them that another shop beat the heck out of, and they smoothed them (radiator support).

Default Shafted!

Got the car back on the KwikLift and installed the 3.5" alum diveshaft from Inland Empire. Next I will be working on the mock-up for the custom stainless headers:

I received the mock-up kit from Stainless Headers Manufacturing and was able to mock up the driver's side yesterday.

Here is what they do:

Re-routed the rear fuel line and found a better mount for the rear filter:

Added a recirculating coolant can:

Hi Steve-

It is an overflow tank that allows coolant to be purged from the radiator and then also drawn back in on cool down (hence the recirculating name).

It's an alternative to:

1. Letting the coolant puke on the ground (as designed by GM)
2. Just an overflow (puke) tank that simply dumps overflow into a tank that must be drained ocassionally.
