I thought that way once until I saw my Verdoro Green 68 Bird in person for the first time. In a sea of red, black, and blue cars at cruise nights, my Verdoro Green Bird gets a TON of attention due to it's unique color.

I like the way the Man & White dog hood ornament set off the green in the lower picture!
Why did you take it off?
Seriously, the white hard top/interior is really what makes 'err pop!
Nice!

Code 57 is Midnight Green Metalic 69 400 Firebird.

Restored by Glen at Vintage Motor Works in Sterling Illinois. Those guys did one hell of a nice job with the paint and body work. Just finished earlier this year.

I love the green birds with green interiors. You really don't see red and green interiors anymore, so they complement the green paint. I have a 69 350 HO convert that came with a green top. The factory paint is champagne, but when I have it painted I'm going to have them green it up a little. This car (in Limelight) is one of my favorites.

Here's mine. It's sort of a take on Limelight green. It still has the original dark green interior.

I am enjoying this thread! If I would have known how that midnight green looked in person years ago I may not have done it dark blue sapphire metallic. My 69 was originally verdoro, gold custom interior, and black top. eeeewwww. And I agree with 71 rag, I was not going to paint it red, blue, white, or black.
Keep the pics coming

Anybody got any pics of one? I know the IDOJ Firebird was originally customized by Barris Custom City and was probably a custom mixed Candy color.
yes it is a special order color. I have a 68 ram air 2 bird that is rallye green. the paint code on the cowl tag is ---

My wife did it. That's the "raw" picture that she ended up with. We spent a number of hours in that parking lot waiting for everything to line up. Had to move the car about 100 times to get it right where she wanted it. It was definitely an enjoyable evening.

Thanks for the pictorial history on your FB. Mine is optioned almost the same as yours (and is still in the same shape as your 'barn find' pics.

I will leave the exterior on mine as is (it will get a thorough cleaning). I will redo the seats and carpet and the driveline, however.

as BOSS stated it is now black cherry. the original owner painted it that way back in the 70's I was told. I have always thought about painting it back to the rallye green, but it is still too nice of a paint job and to me just looks to bad azz to do it. however, there are many places you can see the original paint. mainly in jam areas, trunk and underhood.

Every time I see that picture I can hear the car begging..."Come on, lets go pick a fight!"
