Default 71 Trans Am mystery wire....?

Trying to help a friend with his HO 4spd.
Not sure what/where the brown striped connector plugs into?
Car in non-ac. I thought it was for the blower motor connection under fender liner but not sure that is for a/c cars only.
Thanks

IIRC it should be plugged to the Low Brake Fluid switch.

That plug-in is if the car has a turbo-400 automatic transmission. The passing gear kick-down is controlled via an electric switch mounted inside the car on a bracket mounted above the gas pedal. On a 4 speed car that wire would not be needed.

Do not cut it, coil it up and tape it off neatly along one of the firewall holders.
