Default Head Bolts?
I am installing a pair of 7K3 heads on a 68 428 block and I am using a set of new ARP bolts. The problem I am having is on the left head the front inside {valve train} bolt is to long to seat and on the right head the same bolt as well as the rear bolt are doing the same. Will installing the washers/shims solve this or must I purchase another bolt set to get more shorter bolts.?
These bolts are approx 3/8 to tall. Has any others had this problem and what did you solve it with? Thanks.
