I checked Snopes and didn’t find anything about it but I’m not sure it would be there.

I've read several stories but they're all a little different ; and it's difficult to figure out which story is accurate.

If they did say it, they probably put it up on twitter or Facebook or some other social media so it will be easy enough to find.

Not sure about Ford's comments, but I have seen mention that they were donors to an alt-left group against the POTUS.

The Ford Foundation has been far left liberal for a long time. The Ford Motor Company has no control over them although it was started by the Ford family.
The Ford Foundation funds every crazy leftist thing you can think of: global warming hoaxsterism, BLM, Occupy Wall Street, illegal immigrant rights etc.
It would figure the Ford Foundation would support kneeling. I have no idea what the car company policy is.

Snopes is certainly no longer a valid source of information .... check out the recent antics of their lunatic founder. They are basically a bunch of goof balls.

As I read it the comment was made by one of the female Ford heirs of which there are many, not by a spokesperson for Ford Motor Company itself. The Ford heirs as a group own 40% of Ford stock I think it is so whether or not one could say Ford Motor Company said something just because an heir did would be an individual interpretation. Given that Ford's bread and butter vehicle is the F150 I'd bet the folks at the motor company groaned when the remark by Martha Firestone Ford made the press. The reporter who wrote the article as if the company itself made the statement was out of line in my opinion.

Link to NY Times story on NFL sponsors reactions:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/27/b...-protests.html

Both CNN and the NY Time are left leaning media sources, and both have Ford making the same statement.

The only company to at least sound like they are against the players method of protesting (they have every right to protest - but have chosen a method that they don't have the right to use in my opinion).

DirecTV is the only major sponsor I am aware of to have actually made a bonafide commitment to those that are upset with the method of the players protest. They are refunding NFL Sunday Ticket subscriptions for all those that are asking for them.

"A report in the Wall Street Journal said that DirecTV will refund subscribers who are opposed of the protest."
