Visiting my machinist awhile back he had a real '71 455 HO sitting on the floor. He told me the owner paid $5000 for it as it was supposed to be all fresh. It didn't run.
New pistons were put into the old bores with no boring or honing and some valvetrain pieces were missing. He sold me the new TRWs in it cheap as he had to bore it out.
